Help us build a new Apothecary, Kombuchery and Mushroomery.

It is time for growth! MamaZing has decided to let the Kombucha rest for awhile. The brewing space is in need of a rebuild, as the building is sagging. We have set up a small Mushroom growing space.  And the MamaZing team has energy for more great things to happen! Mushroom growing, Apothecary medicine making, and more focus on growing organic food and herbs. The Chocolate making space will also move into the kitchen in the new Apothecary. Where we will make the tonics, oils, and other medicines.

The new Apothecary will be a roundhouse built by Jo and team. The design will be online soon. This building will be run on solar and hydro power. As well as heated by rocket stove. This will eliminate the insane power bills we experience, as well as helping us to achieve our sustainability goals as a business.

The Mushroomery will be a part of the Apothecary building and will utilize the heat generated as well as other aspects in a symbiotic relationship. We will focus on growing edible and medicinal mushrooms such as Oyster, Shiitake, Reishi, Lion’s Mane, and button mushrooms, to name a few. 

We envision starting this build in late summer 2025. And inviting others to be a part of the build for a learning experience, as Jo teaches roundhouse building. We already have some keen apprentices. And someone ready to organise the workshops.

We don't have a set amount for the goal, as we will build using timber from the land and will work with what we have. Instead of putting a number in the sky up and hoping we raise those funds so we can make the project happen. All money raised here will go directly into this project. And it will be completed in a reasonable amount of time.

The first thing we need is a Timber mill as we have all the wood we need on the land here. But need the right equipment to process it here.
